Connecting the Dots
Singapore SMEs, Hong Kong & the Greater Bay Area
Many Singapore companies have already set up shop here in Hong Kong.

Most of these are large corporations, and the Hong Kong mid-market is largely off the radar and underserved by Singapore SMEs.

So, the Hong Kong mid-market warrants consideration but - and here is the key point - it isn't the end game.

In fact, Hong Kong is just a start and there is a far more enticing opportunity: the Greater Bay Area (GBA) with a population of over 72 million, GDP of US$1.7 trillion and GDP per capita of US$23,000.
We are bullish (and excited) about Hong Kong’s unique gateway role within the GBA, and we believe that Hong Kong is an idea launching pad for Singapore SMEs to tap the GBA.

As a SME ourselves, we are also equally bullish (and excited) about Singapore SMEs, and our mission is to connect the dots between Singapore SMEs, Hong Kong and the GBA.
The Greater Bay Area
A Bay Like No Other Bay & How Singapore Fits In
The GBA is one of China’s key initiatives, and it connects Hong Kong, Macau and 9 Guangdong cities including Guangzhou and Shenzhen into an integrated economic and business hub.
GBA isn’t the only city cluster in the world. In fact, three world-renowned city clusters have been around longer: San Francisco Bay Area, Greater Tokyo Bay and the New York Metropolitan Area.
But the GBA is a bay like no other bay.
A top think tank in China projected that the GDP of the GBA will top US$4.6 trillion in 2030; and if this comes to fruition, GBA will surpass the other three more illustrious city clusters and become no. 1.
Bear in mind that Singapore and China have close ties and, it's difficult not to be excited about the prospects of Singapore SMEs in the GBA.

As our very own Minister Ong Ye Kung put it, Singapore had "always played a role" in China's growth story..."today, we look at new ways of collaboration... like the Greater Bay Area". Click for the SCMP article.
